Innovative Glass Products was established in 2001 to design and manufacture innovative and bespoke solutions for glass in architecture and interiors.
Since its foundation iGP has worked on a broad variety of contracts for both the public and private sector. Clients include architects and construction companies such as Capita Percy Thomas and Sir Robert McAlpine, Welsh Development Agency, local authorities, prominent artists, designers and private individuals.
Rodney Bender, founder and C.E.O of iGP, invented KiloLux, a patented glass product, which was first used in the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.
In 2003 Kilolux was runner up in the Bombay Sapphire prize of innovation and excellence in the use of glass.
iGP has prototyped and manufactured glass product and artworks for a variety of applications and contexts. These include working with the Pritzker Prize winning architect Jørn Utzon, architect of the Sydney Opera House, and a variety of prominent artists and designers.
The company, under the design direction of Rodney Bender, has also completed public art commissions and a variety of bespoke glass products.
